The Sahrawi NGO Alliance (ANGOS) has officially submitted its Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report to the United Nations Human Rights Council. This comprehensive document covers the period from 2022 to 2025 and documents the human rights situation in the Western Sahara region.

The report highlights persistent concerns around freedom of expression, the right to peaceful assembly, and the situation of human rights defenders. It calls on the UN to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and hold violating parties accountable.

"This report represents the collective voices of civil society organizations across the region," said the ANGOS Secretary General. "We urge the international community to take these findings seriously and act on the recommendations."

The report will be reviewed during the upcoming UPR session. ANGOS delegates will attend the review to present oral statements and engage with member states.
